Missions Partners
A value of Defiance Church is to partner with local and global organizations that extend God's mission into the world. We have one main partner we give to locally, one globally, and one missionary family we support with Wycliff Bible Translators.
Advocate Safehouse Project
The Advocate Safehouse Project promotes healthy relationships free from violence through education, advocacy, empowerment and safehousing in Garfield County. ASP is the only program in Garfield County offering comprehensive and confidential services for survivors of domestic and/or sexual violence and their children. It should be noted that ASP is the only safehouse program in the Roaring Fork Valley and one of only eleven on Colorado’s western slope.
Food for the hungry
Food for the Hungry seeks to end ALL forms of human poverty by going to the hard places and walking with the world’s most vulnerable people. Their organization has been serving through purposeful relief and development for over four decades. They believe in the fight against poverty, which is why they serve the vulnerable in over 20 countries globally. Food for the Hungry is moved and inspired by our Christian belief that every person has intrinsic value, and that it’s our responsibility to advocate for the poor and marginalized without regard to race, creed or nationality and without adverse distinction of any kind. They serve on the basis of need alone and strive to respect the culture and customs of the people we serve in order to preserve their humanity and dignity.
Wycliffe Bible Translators
For more than 70 years, Wycliffe has helped people around the world translate the Bible into their own languages. We also help with language development, literacy and other spiritual and physical needs.
